Little city visit

This week the children enjoyed a visit from the little city company. The children got to explore lots of different roleplay areas including a post office, shop, café and doctors surgery.

The busy little squirrel

This week we read the story of the busy squirrel. We talked about Autumn and the different changes we might see.

We made leaf suncatchers, hedgehogs and Autumn trees. We also explored our Autumn tuff spot full of natural resources and practised our counting skills by scooping the lentils to make pumpkin pots.

Little City morning

The children really enjoyed the Little City morning this week. They loved all the different areas such as the Beauty salon, the Police station, the Construction zone, the Garage.

Hovis The Hedgehog – Reception

This week in Reception our focus text has been Hovis The Hedgehog. We started the week by wearing odd socks for antibullying week and enjoyed making friendship bracelets for our friends. We produced some work around poppies which have been displayed in our class. We then watched “Poppies” on CBeebies – This is a Children’s Remembrance Day 2 minutes’ silence. We have created some excellent writing about fireworks and the noises that they make and have been learning all about 4 and 5 in our Numbersense.

Year 1 Telford Tours

On a rainy Tuesday Year 1 went on their very own Telford Tour. We walked along the River Severn and over the Ironbridge. Then we visited The Wrekin. We talked about the River Severn and The Wrekin being physical features because it is natural and the Ironbridge being a human feature because it was made by people.
