Barclays Equal Rights to Access for Girls Football Award 2025!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that our school has been honoured with the Barclays Equal Rights to Access for Girls Football Award 2025! ⚽🏆 This prestigious recognition, part of the Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnership with The FA, celebrates our commitment to providing girls with equal opportunities to play and thrive in football — both in lessons and beyond. Thank you to our dedicated staff and enthusiastic pupils for championing inclusivity, teamwork and confidence on and off the pitch! 👏💪

Week 4 ‘Oi Get Off Our Train’

Last week we looked at the text, ‘Oi Get Off Our Train’. The children used the big wooden blocks to build their own train to ride. They also used their maths knowledge to create a repeating pattern train print. The children also acted out the story with masks using the repeated refrain of, ‘Oi get off our train’, every time a new animal boarded the train. They also tested their construction skills when they had to raise the train track up using blocks.

Week 3 The Great Explorer

In week 3 this term we looked at the story, ‘The Great Explorer’. The children made boats from playdough, igloos and practiced their maths skills with the penguins. The children also looked at the globe just like the Great Explorer did before he set off on his journey to rescue his dad. The children also enjoyed using their fine motor skills with giving the snowman his features.

Year 3 Narrative

This week, year 3 have published and written their narrative based on the Wellington Cobbler and The Wrekin Giant. The children worked so hard to include the grammatical features taught throughout the unit.

Please enjoy reading over a selection of the children’s work:

Treat Friday

Due to healthy eating initiative, treat Friday will no longer take place after half term.  Children are welcome to bring in a healthy snack for them to enjoy during their break instead.  We will continue with it until the end of this half term.

Year 2 DT Workshop!

As part of our London topic, we have been looking at famous London Landmarks. In DT we have been researching and making winding mechanisms. We then went on to apply this to creating the Tower Bridge with a winding mechanism. We invited our parents and carers in to help us make the Tower Bridge.

We think that they all look amazing! Thanks so much to our Year 2 parents and carers who joined us at our DT Workshop. Here are some pictures of our workshop and some of the final products!
