Mr Egypt!

Mr Egypt paid Y5 a visit this week! He came to school with lots of interesting artefacts, extensive knowledge about Ancient Egyptian life and secrets of his past. The children enjoyed making themselves into mummies! and learning how to write their name in hieroglyphics! A great day had by all!

Preschools first stay and play.

This week we had our first stay and play. The children had a wonderful time showing all their family members some of the exciting things we have been doing this week in Preschool.

Room on a Broom

This week Reception have started their celebrations topic with “Room on a Broom”. The children have enjoyed copying and creating patterns in maths, role playing potions in our role play areas, writing lists of ingredients by writing the initial sound for words and much more.

Shark in the Park!

As part of our writing unit we walked to Dawley Town Park to read the story Shark in the Park. We made our own telescopes so that we could become Timothy Pope from the story and look for the shark.

Forest School Days!

In Year 2, we have started off the half term with Forest Schools! We really enjoy Forest Schools as it helps us learn in lots of new ways. Our topic this half term is ‘Wriggle and Crawl’ and during our Forest School session we used clay and natural resources to make minibeasts. We loved it!

We also loved exploring the Forest School!
