Week 7 Learning through Play This week in Year 1, the children have been busy exploring a range of exciting continuous provision activities. We have been consolidating our understanding of addition and subtraction number pairs to 10 through practical games and challenges, helping to strengthen our confidence with number facts. In phonics, the children have been reading and writing words containing their Set 2 sounds, applying their growing knowledge in a variety of engaging activities. Our knight-themed small world area has inspired lots of imaginative storytelling, with children creating adventures, solving problems and bringing their ideas to life through play. We have also enjoyed spending time in the fairy gardens, using our creativity, language and curiosity to explore the magical outdoor environment. It has been wonderful to see the children learning, collaborating and developing their skills through play-based experiences across the week. ✨📚🏰🧚♀️
