Year 4 had an amazing day for World Book Day on Thursday! The children enjoyed a fun-filled morning assembly with a live performance of Peter Pan.
Then, our day was based on the book ‘The Umbrella’ by Elena Melville, which was a picture book all about a magical umbrella. The umbrella helped solve people’s problems, until a sly fox decided to get greedy! We made predictions about the book, discussed what we would wish for if we had a magical umbrella and designed a new front cover for the book.
We loved seeing everyone’s fun costumes and we can’t wait for next year!
