First Week in Preschool

A Wonderful First Week in Preschool! 🌟

What an amazing first week we have had in Preschool! The children have settled in brilliantly and have enjoyed exploring all of the exciting activities and learning opportunities available to them.

Some of the children’s favourite activities included playing with the emergency vehicles and small world characters, using story characters to retell familiar tales, and role-playing family life in our home corner kitchen. They have also enjoyed exploring the family-themed tuff tray, using sand moulds and tools, and discovering what they could create in the construction area.

Out in the nursery garden, the children enthusiastically took part in a range of activities. They enjoyed counting and sorting bear families, painting at the easel, and developing their physical skills through a variety of ball games, including throwing, kicking, and striking. Water play proved very popular, with the children exploring pouring, filling, and racing boats through the pipes.

Both indoors and outdoors, the children enjoyed using stencils at the writing stations, helping to develop their early mark-making and fine motor skills. Some of the most popular outdoor areas were the bikes and the adventure playground, where the children have been building their confidence, coordination, and friendships.

We are so proud of how well everyone has settled into Preschool and look forward to many more exciting learning experiences in the weeks ahead!

Well done, Preschool! 😊
