Curriculum Framework Overview – Nursery

Daycare Experiences

During the Autumn term as part of our Celebration topic we welcome Little City role play experience into the nursery. This experience provides the children the opportunity to explore different roleplay scenarios where they can dress up and act out different experiences. As part of our celebration topic we have some special set up’s to explore including Santa’s workshop and the north pole mail room. 12th November 2025

During the Spring term as part of our Farming topic we have the Living Eggs Company deliver us 10 chicken eggs. This is a great opportunity for the children to learn the start of the egg life cycle and get to watch them hatch and grow in to young chicks.  We will be looking at how the chicks change and grow over the few week period. Thursday 2nd March 2026.

Also this term we have the Farm on Wheels come and visit us. They bring a range of animals for the children to pet, feed and hold. This links to our topic by allowing the children the chance to see a range of animals that live on a farm up close and learn more about them from Stella the farmer. Thursday 26th February 2026

Important Days

On Monday morning we have PE with our Cross Bar Coaches, we ask that the children where trainers that day.

On Thursday we have our weekly Forest school session. The children have the opportunity to explore the outdoor environment and get messy. On this day the children will need to come in wearing a puddle suit and wellies ready to go into the forest. We also recommend that parents bring in a plastic bag labelled with the child’s name ready to take their dirty things home in.
